Fees

Transparent fees at checkout.

Gridly takes a 10% platform fee from sellers when a sale is paid. No hidden buyer markup — just the listing price, shipping, and any tax estimate shown before you pay.

01

Who pays the platform fee

Gridly charges sellers a 10% platform fee when a buyer pays. Buyers pay the listing price plus shipping and any estimated tax shown at checkout — there is no separate Gridly buyer surcharge on top of the item price.

02

When the fee is collected

Fees are collected at checkout through Stripe Connect destination charges. When payment succeeds, the sale amount is routed to the seller’s connected Stripe account and Gridly keeps the platform fee. Gridly does not hold buyer funds in escrow.

03

Stripe processing

Stripe card processing also applies to the transaction. Gridly’s seller net estimate subtracts both the platform fee and a rough Stripe fee (~2.9% + $0.30 per charge). Actual Stripe pricing can vary by card type, Connect settings, and account country.

04

Refunds

If a full refund is issued, the platform fee is reversed with the payment. Partial refunds keep fee handling simple: the platform fee is not automatically reversed on partial refunds. See Terms and Buyer protection for dispute flows.

05

Payout timing

Seller bank payout timing follows Stripe Connect payout settings — not a Gridly escrow release. Connect onboarding, identity verification, and payout schedules are managed in Stripe.

06

Tax line at checkout

Checkout may show an estimated tax line for display only. That estimate is not Gridly collecting or remitting sales tax. Sellers and buyers remain responsible for their own tax obligations.
